Praying Hands

Members and friends of Grace gather for prayer on Mondays at 10 a.m. in the
church library.

As a group, we pray for many things: those with cancer or other illnesses, those experiencing job difficulties or career changes, those in mourning, those serving in the military and for peace in our world.  We also pray for the Church of God as a whole and for Grace congregation in particular, that we may do the work of spreading the Good News of God’s love.

For some time now, we have made it a practice to “pray the directory”.  Each week, we take the church directory and pray for all the people and families listed on a specific page.  We do this because we believe it is the task of all Christians to support one another as we try to live out our baptism.  Sometimes we are aware of specific needs that a member of the congregation has brought to us.  At other times we simply pray that God will bless the person or family, that He will guide their decisions, and that He will bless each one of His children with peace.

We wanted to make you aware of this practice, because we believe it is important to know that YOU are being prayed for.  We also would like to invite you to make this kind of prayer a part of your daily or weekly devotional.

Your prayer requests are always welcome.  Everything brought to the prayer group is treated with greatest confidence.  The privacy of all who bring requests is respected.

Join us in our prayer ministry.  Everyone is welcome, even from other churches!
